Department Summary

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) School of Business invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Information Technology starting in Fall 2026. This is a full‑time, tenure‑track position. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and service, and to contribute to the growth of the UNT‑Dallas Information Technology program. Individuals with specific interests and experience in cybersecurity are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a full‑time, non‑tenure track position. Minimum Qualifications
  • An earned master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Computer Science.
  • Demonstrated effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using technology in teaching and experience teaching in multiple modalities (hybrid, online, and face‑to‑face).
  • Evidence of significant academic research and/or applied experience in Cybersecurity.

Skills and Abilities

This position is responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester and participating in in service activities such as program development, course development, program assessment, and committee leadership. The successful applicant will be the inaugural cybersecurity instructor at UNT Dallas, as well as provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate Cybersecurity and Information Technology courses, including but not limited to Foundations of…
