Job Description – Coordinator II, Data (226 Days) (RTP)
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying data errors in Power School SIS and ensuring errors are corrected, and will train and support campus data staff (CRCs, Data Controllers, Registrars) on executing secure and effective student data procedures.
Responsibilities- Identify data errors in Power School SIS and ensure errors are corrected.
- Monitor campus data staff's activities related to updating and maintaining students' records in Power School SIS and in the students’ physical cumulative record.
- Plan, develop and conduct training for campus data staff to include district wide trainings, weekly meetings with assigned schools, as well as on-demand trainings throughout the year.
- Plan, develop and assist with the development of training courses and reference materials for campus data staff.
- Work with detailed data/information; and maintain confidentiality.
- Organize and communicate information and concepts to a variety of Power School SIS users including principals, counselors, and central staff.
- Participate in meetings, workshops and seminars (e.g., inter- and intra- district committees, seminars, conferences) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding program initiatives and goals.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a directly related field;
Master's degree from an accredited university preferred. - Two plus years in direct related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-satisfaction-focused attitude.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Power School SIS or other student data systems, Microsoft and Google products.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large amounts of data to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrates commitment to data integrity.
- Resourceful problem solver who takes initiative to improve processes and systems.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks successfully to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to change with a solution-focused attitude.
- Ability to provide training and support based in adult learning principles.
