Position: Coordinator II (226 Days)
* The Workforce Coordinator II is responsible for facilitating employer engagement at various High School campuses to reinforce work-based learning and career connected experiences. The role will interact with assigned campus personnel to understand their career connected learning needs for student engagement. From time to time there may be a need for the Coordinator II to seek out, develop, nurture and maintain new employer relationships in order to create a healthy ecosystem of industry partners.

* Assist with the development of systems and implementation of the comprehensive industry partner plan by enabling sustainable engagement between industry partners in the various programs supported by the Department.

* Work directly with campus-based workplace learning coordinators to ensure consistent industry engagement activities throughout the District; work collaboratively with campuses and departments to ensure District policy is adhered to in the development of industry partnership engagement activities, and develop best practices for schools to engage industry partners and students in meaningful work-based learning experiences inclusive of activities for student instruction and teacher professional development and mentoring and externships

* Coordinate and assist campus based coordinators with working collaboratively with industry partners to develop workplace learning curricula and develop project based learning activities which incorporate workplace learning skills and core competencies.

* Disseminate information pertaining to best practices and Work-Based Learning programs to campus administrators, workplace learning coordinators and counselors and lead teachers.

* Assist with career development of students served by the Department by assisting campus coordinators with developing extended learning opportunities focused on employability skills.

* Assist appropriate campus personnel by identifying, Internships, Job Shadowing, Service Learning, and other Work-Based Learning programs offered that relate to worksite learning opportunities for students enrolled in the programs served by the Department.

* Effectively manage data collection, execute metrics, and compile reports; create and implement concise and timely reporting systems for both internal and external stakeholders; compile statistical reports on workplace learning activities, industry partner engagement activities, internships and first-in-line job interviews for our students.

* Build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop learning guidelines and conducting trainings throughout the district and in the business and community at large.

* Collaborate with campuses to support and strategically increase industry partner engagement using proven ability to research, analyze, and monitor trends to increase workplace learning experiences for students.

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

* 3-5 years of experience in Relationship Management.

* Strong knowledge of district operations, policies, and procedures related to work-based learning.

* Knowledge and experience working with stakeholders, business groups and organizations.

* Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and monitoring project-based learning.

* Excellent public speaker with the ability to develop presentations using business presentation software.

* Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

* Experience and ability to communicate and work with a diverse community and the public at large.

* Strong organizational, communication and event coordination skills required to achieve the goals of the position.

* Ability to work nontraditional hours including after school, evenings, and Saturdays.

* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
