Organization Summary

Housing Forward, formally known as Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA) is a backbone organization that leads the development of an effective homeless rehousing system. In partnership with the All Neighbors Coalition of 140+ public, private, and nonprofit institutions, we make the experience of homelessness in Dallas and Collin counties rare, brief, and non‑recurring. Housing Forward’s team members uphold the organizational values of Teamwork, Servant Leadership, and Flexibility.

Housing Forward believes that effective solutions to homelessness are created with communities historically impacted by the systems we are attempting to transform. We strongly encourage applications from people who are representative of the culturally and ethnically diverse communities we work with. This includes people who have lived experience of homelessness.

Position Summary

Housing Forward is seeking a strategic and detail‑oriented learning professional to lead and optimize our training program with a strong emphasis on Learning Management System (LMS) expansion and the development of polished, high‑quality virtual learning experiences.

Under the supervision of the Director of Performance Management, the Training Manager will design, develop, and deliver a dynamic training catalog, with a primary focus on scaling accessible, engaging, and data‑driven eLearning. This role will ensure the LMS serves as the central hub for learning across the All‑Neighbors Coalition, supporting user experience, content quality, and performance tracking. As the direct supervisor to the training team, the Training Manager will also oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the full training catalog and ensure effective delivery of training initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Lead in the application of instructional system design processes to ensure the design, development, and delivery of the All‑Neighbors Coalition’s full training catalog, including in‑person, virtual, and eLearning courses.
  • Ensure alignment of instructional systems with best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, department heads, and internal and external stakeholders to identify training needs, develop learning objectives, and design relevant and engaging virtual training materials.
  • Supervise and lead Training team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the achievement of individual and team objectives.
  • Establish and maintain processes for evaluating training effectiveness, collecting feedback, and making continuous improvements to training programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Manage the All Neighbors Coalition training calendar of events for all live training – both in‑person and virtual.
  • Manage the organization’s learning management system (LMS), including overseeing user access, course administration, content management, and reporting functionalities.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the organization’s training infrastructure, including the selection and implementation of new technologies and tools to support training delivery and administration.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate training initiatives with broader organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in training and development, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve training processes and methodologies.
  • Represent the training department in internal and external meetings, conferences, and industry events as required.
  • Facilitate Housing Forward’s full catalog of synchronous and asynchronous training opportunities as needed.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and planning of synchronous training, ranging from one‑time single sessions to recurring sessions or ongoing cohort programs as needed.
  • Participate in CoC Workgroup meetings and other project related meetings as needed.
