The Model System is a bold, faith-forward initiative reimagining Seventh-day Adventist education through joyful, innovative schools. Launched through a partnership between the Southwest Region Conference and the Bainum Family Foundation, the Model System provides a network of small, mighty schools where students encounter Jesus, feel seen, deeply valued, and equipped to thrive.
We are seeking innovative, passionate educators eager to help pioneer this next chapter of Adventist education. Founding teachers bring engaging, student-centered learning to life through the Model System’s play-centered COMPASS Learning Framework, as part of a collaborative community of deeply caring educators.
About Southwest Christian AcademySouthwest Christian Academy is a Model System school located in Dallas, Texas, and serves grades K-10. With rich history spanning over 90 years, the school has a long legacy of faith and service to the families in its community. Today, the school is stepping into a renewed chapter, strengthening its mission and demonstrating what small Adventist schools can become.
What It Means to Be a Founding TeacherAs a founding educator, you will help shape the culture, practices, and traditions of Model System schools. This role is ideal for educators who are energized by building something meaningful from the ground up. Founding teachers thrive in collaborative environments, love learning, and believe that joy is essential to great teaching, and are excited to help build a meaningful school community from the ground up.

- Elementary or middle-grade teaching experience (student teaching considered)
- Bachelor’s degree and eligibility for denominational certification
