A qualified and experienced Adjunct Instructor to support the Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (ICVT) program. This position will play a key role in preparing students for clinical practice in cardiovascular procedures, with a focus on cardiac catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient-centered care. The adjunct faculty member will provide instruction, mentorship, and evaluation of students in both didactic and/or clinical settings.

• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned ICVT courses (didactic, lab, and/or clinical)
• Facilitate student learning through lectures, case studies, simulations, and hands‑on training
• Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations, ensuring alignment with program competencies
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure curriculum meets accreditation and industry standards
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and clinical evaluations
• Provide timely feedback and academic support to students
• Adhere to institutional policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with students.
• Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations through experiences such as formal training and past work experiences.
• The ability to provide quality customer service.

May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Health Sciences, or related field
• Current professional credential (e.g., RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in invasive cardiovascular technology (cardiac cath lab experience required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of hemodynamics, interventional procedures, and cardiovascular pharmacology
• Must have reliable transportation to clinical affiliate sites.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred for teaching didactic courses)
• Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience in an accredited program
• Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., CAAHEP)
• Experience working with diverse and non-traditional student populations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Participates in the evaluation of the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to continually improve learning.
• Participates in development and support of their discipline by recommending books and materials, revising curricula, and recommending teaching assignments when appropriate.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Performs professional activities including professional responsibilities with the division dean and works with colleagues to achieve shared goals and visions.
• Values the collaborative process.
• Uses knowledge of diverse communities and learning styles to incorporate delivery of learning styles in instruction.
• Participates in student advising and registration.
• Utilizes technology to facilitate learning and to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
• Meets professional assignments in accordance with the System's calendar and contractual obligations.
• Complies with Dallas College board policies, state and federal policy, and the student code of conduct as appropriate.
• Commits to college mission and goals through participating in planning division objectives and budget requests.
• Serves on and attends college committees as assigned.
• Participates in campus commencement exercise(s) as required and attends other required college meetings and activities.
• Participates in his/her own performance appraisal.
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds.
• May work with student clubs and/or organizations.
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills to support and enhance effective interaction between Dallas College and other organizations, businesses and community groups as well as faculty, staff and students.
• Promotes the college in the community by participating in a variety of marketing activities.
• Participates in professional development activities.
• Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This is a part-time adjunct position with hours based on clinical site schedules (typically 1-3 days per week depending on student placement).
• Compensation is per clinical hour or per credit (as applicable).
