Position OverviewThe UNT Dallas College of Law seeks experienced lawyers, judges, and law school instructors to serve as adjunct faculty during the Summer 2026 semester, teaching one course in either the Day or Evening Division.
Adjunct faculty members will participate in curricular and co‑curricular activities and programs related to student learning and professional formation throughout law school. They are expected to follow the College of Law’s instructional and curricular practices, use the Canvas Learning Management System, incorporate learning outcomes, assessments, research and writing modules as appropriate, and collaborate with other faculty and research librarians. The College of Law will provide training, course design expertise, and LMS support.
Minimum Qualifications- J.D. degree
- Superb academic and professional qualifications.
- Five or more years of practice experience that is sufficiently extensive and high quality to serve as a foundation for teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve excellence in teaching and to guide and mentor students in professional formation.
- Commitment to the goals of the College of Law and its curricular and instructional methods.
Skills and Abilities
- May be required to use specific textbooks and adhere to instructional parameters set by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
- Expected to incorporate departmental assessment measures into courses and report relevant data.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands or fingers.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
