PE Teacher​/Athletic Director

Job Description

Santa Clara Catholic Academy is a PreK–8th grade elementary school. We have an opening for an Athletic Director/PE Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026

The individual in this position will manage all aspects of the athletic program, along with teaching PE to grades PK‑8. The position reports to the principal.

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the athletic program.
• Promote the role of athletics in the overall program of student formation.
• Oversee the procurement and organization of all athletic equipment and storage spaces.
• Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the athletic program.
• Attend all Diocesan Athletic Director meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

• Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
• Experience teaching PE/athletics at the elementary/middle school level (experience in a Catholic school preferred).
• Experience as an Athletic Director at the middle school level (preferred).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Full‑Time
