POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Life & Workforce Readiness provides strategic leadership for all life skills and workforce development programming at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD), serving members ages 6-18. This role is responsible for designing, delivering, and expanding a continuum of programming that moves young people through three intentional stages — Explore, Develop, and Apply — from early curiosity and foundational skill‑building through hands‑on training, industry certifications, and real‑world work experience.

This position manages the BLUEprint paid training program, oversees the delivery of grant‑funded workforce initiatives, and actively builds new educational and internship partnerships with corporations, higher education institutions, and community organizations. This role serves as a key relationship ambassador for BGCD — connecting club members, donors, and corporate partners through authentic engagement and a shared commitment to young people’s futures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Program Design & Delivery
  • Build, launch, and continuously improve a comprehensive life and workforce readiness curriculum spanning ages 6-18, organized around the Explore, Develop, and Apply framework.
  • Oversee all BLUEprint paid training program cohorts — including current and future tracks in areas such as broadcast production, fashion design, drone technology, music production, and textile arts, coding, and more — ensuring quality delivery and positive participant outcomes.
  • Ensure age‑appropriate programming exists at each stage, from career exploration for younger members to certified workforce training and paid internships for teens.
  • Develop new course offerings and expand the program portfolio in response to workforce trends, community needs, and emerging partner opportunities.
Grant Management & Deliverables
  • Serve as the primary manager for all workforce‑related grant programs, ensuring full compliance with deliverables, reporting deadlines, and funder requirements.
  • Manage active and incoming grant partnerships including MLB at Work, FIFA/Coca‑Cola FC Academy, Old Navy Workforce Program, Money Matters Financial Literacy, and others as secured.
  • Maintain accurate grant documentation including enrollment records, attendance, certification completions, demographic reach, and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate the distribution of scholarship dollars to ensure timely and accurate disbursement.
  • Process and track stipend payments related to the Workforce Readiness Plan.
  • Identify and pursue new grant and funding opportunities that align with the department's workforce and education mission.
Education & Internship Pathway Expansion
  • Actively cultivate partnerships with colleges, universities, and vocational institutions to create articulation pathways, stackable credentials, dual enrollment opportunities, and college credit for program completions.
  • Develop and manage internship and work experience pipelines with corporate partners, placing qualified teens into professional environments.
  • Connect program graduates to employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and continued education resources.
  • Coordinate college readiness programming including professional development workshops, etiquette training, mock interview experiences, and career exploration events.
