Adjunct faculty plans, implements, and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. The role includes part‑time faculty responsibilities, such as office hours. The successful applicant will provide instruction for General Biology and upper‑level Biology courses, including associated labs (e.g., Microbiology). Most labs are scheduled in the afternoon or evenings. Instruction for science lecture courses (Earth Science, Environmental Science) for non‑majors may also be included.

• A Master’s degree in Biology with outstanding teaching experience in lower‑level Biology courses.
• OR a Master’s degree in Science Education with at least 18 graduate hours in Biology and outstanding teaching experience in lower‑level science courses.

• Ph.D. in Biology with significant higher‑education experience.
• Successful experience teaching adults in a post‑secondary institution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience teaching and developing online courses.

• Strong teaching skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.

• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
