The Student Leadership and Success Department is a unique prestigious organization designed to ensure that first-generation high achieving college students are successful in meeting their academic, career, personal goals. program provides opportunities, resources, skills development, connects with mentor help prepare them for future careers. Position Overview
Program Manager intern position is an entry-level position that supports program and event planning, marketing, and data analysis and reporting for the SLS department.
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree with relevant majors
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated knowledge of program planning best practices
* Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation
* Considerable knowledge of event and workshop planning strategies
* Current knowledge of sponsorship and fundraising best practices.
* Strong presentation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to collect and analyze program data to establish annual goals and objectives
* Ability to communicate effectively with wide populations verbally and in writing
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships Ability to work independently
Job Duties
* Participates in off-campus and on-campus events supporting the SLS department.
* Develops a vision, plans, marketing strategies, and budgets to implement successful programs, workshops and events.
* Collect, maintain, and utilize assessment data to evaluate and enhance program planning.
* Recruits, coordinates with, and evaluates the work of workshop facilitators and speakers.
* Collaborate with UNT Dallas and program counterparts to ensure effective program implementation.
Physical Requirements
* Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
* Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
* Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
* Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
* Communicating with others to exchange information.
Environmental Hazards
* No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, some Saturdays. 9-1pm or 1-5pm
