Position OverviewAdjunct faculty plans courses and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part‑time faculty member, including office hours. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in a range of undergraduate Psychology courses, including Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Introduction to Learning and Memory, Statistics in Psychology, and Psychophysiology, among others.
Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in Psychology with at least 18 graduate hours in Psychology.
Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in developing and instructing courses in Psychology.
- Strong teaching skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Ph.D. in Psychology with significant experience in higher education.
- Successful experience teaching adults in a post‑secondary institution.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience teaching and developing courses.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
