Why This Role MattersAs an Education Specialist – Center Based, you serve as an instructional leader supporting the quality of teaching and learning in Head Start classrooms. Through coaching, training, and data-informed guidance, you help teachers deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging, and effective early childhood experiences.
This role goes beyond oversight — it is about building educator capacity, strengthening classroom environments, and ensuring children receive the strong educational foundation they deserve while supporting families through meaningful engagement and transitions.
What You'll Do- Provide instructional coaching, mentoring, and professional development to teaching staff to strengthen classroom practices.
- Monitor classroom quality through observations, lesson plan reviews, and CLASS assessments to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, licensing, and CCG educational guidelines.
- Analyze child assessment data to inform instruction, training, and program decisions.
- Collaborate with center leadership to support staff development, family engagement, and overall program quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with required early childhood coursework.
- At least three years of teaching experience in early childhood settings; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, instructional practices, and assessment tools such as CLASS.
- Experience coaching, training, or supporting adult learners in education settings.
- A collaborative, mission-aligned approach with a commitment to quality, inclusion, and supporting children, families, and educators.
