Locations and Compensation
On‑site at an Alpha campus:
Atlanta, GA, Oklahoma City, OK, Tulsa, OK, Austin, TX, Keller (Fort Worth), TX, The Woodlands (Houston), TX. Salary $150,000/year (W2), paid weekly. Day‑one health benefits. Relocation support available.
Alpha School delivers self‑directed, AI‑powered learning. The role focuses on facilitating workshops, delivering motivation, and developing Guides.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one‑hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K‑8 cohorts using Alpha's playbook.
- Conducting motivation sessions with student data and Alpha's incentive framework to achieve 100% student goal attainment.
- Developing Guides on program adherence and standards maintenance, providing each session with concrete improvement steps.
- Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously training other Guides.
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators weekly to identify underperformance early.
- Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring.
- Creating original curriculum or lesson plans.
- Training Guides on instructional methods; focus is on their motivation and accountability.
- Granting exceptions when a student reaches 99% rather than 100%.
- Serving as the "empathy champion" common in traditional schools.
- Willing to work on‑campus at one of the listed locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a comparable field.
- Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and performance‑based termination.
- Direct experience with kids aged 5‑14 in an educational or developmental setting.
- Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, business, school, or initiative from the ground up.
- Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Coached athletics, led wilderness or experiential programs, directed camps, or ran youth ministry at scale.
- Left classroom teaching to build or run programs from a different seat (EdTech, tutoring businesses, youth nonprofits, or school intervention teams).
- Early‑career record of high personal performance—academic, athletic, or professional.
- Belief that the current education system is broken and personal investment in rebuilding it.
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) position. Compensation is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is weekly.
