Job DescriptionIn anticipation of future openings, the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Dallas are seeking interested, qualified teachers who can teach a variety of courses and secondary grade levels. The potential positions will be for the 2025‑2026 Academic Year.
Job RequirementsThe candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching, with at least two years’ teaching experience (preferred). Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet class goals, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, and perform all basic administrative duties (e.g., maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing).
Education/Experience RequirementsAn undergraduate degree in a teaching content area or a related field from an accredited university. A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned is preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communication skills and solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.
General DutiesThe mission of the Catholic school is to “Teach as Jesus did,” thereby mandating teachers to be reflections of Christ’s love and concern. The classroom teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the assistant principal and has decision‑making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
