2nd Grade Teacher, Alpha

Students seldom recall every lesson from their early years. What they carry forward is the memory of the adult who had faith in them. That defines this position.

At Alpha, academic instruction is completed in only two hours daily through adaptive learning platforms. This structure allows Guides to dedicate their time to transformational work: fostering confidence, building resilience, developing communication skills, and cultivating the drive to face difficult challenges. Your day will not revolve around standing before a class delivering prepared lessons. Instead, you will coach students through obstacles, acknowledge their achievements, and demonstrate what rigorous standards look like when accompanied by authentic belief.

You will oversee one K-3 cohort band—either Kindergarten‑1st grade or 2nd‑3rd grade. Approximately half your time is devoted to facilitating dynamic, one‑hour workshops focused on life competencies such as public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. The remaining time is allocated to individual and small‑group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to ensure every child progresses toward challenging weekly objectives. Each moment counts. Students should emerge from your workshops with greater capability and from your coaching sessions with expanded belief in their own potential.

This position is not suited to those seeking to execute a set curriculum or maintain traditional classroom management. It is designed for individuals who excel at motivating young learners, value measurable progress, and understand that the right coach can alter a child's future. This is a full‑time, on‑site position at an Alpha campus. Because we recruit across the nation, job postings may appear in cities near campuses rather than at exact campus locations.

• Facilitate dynamic life‑skills workshops that enable K-3 students to develop communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other enduring competencies through active engagement rather than passive instruction.
• Provide individualized and small‑group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure each child advances toward challenging weekly learning targets.
• Evaluate life‑skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2
  
  Pass methodology, guiding students until they exhibit genuine mastery—not merely attendance.
• Tailor your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, incorporating songs, physical activity, and narratives for younger children or emphasizing greater autonomy and responsibility for older students.
• Cultivate relationships in which students feel sufficiently encouraged to push past their perceived limitations.
