Purpose:

The Multilingual Compliance Coordinator ensures that Emergent Bilingual receive an excellent education, one that harnesses the assets of their bilingualism and is aligned with Uplift's IB vision for excellence. The coordinator is responsible for leading the schools' multilingual compliance initiatives, including partnering with campus leadership teams to ensure all records, identification, and monitoring are compliant with network, state, and federal law.

This will specifically include reviewing and maintaining records, leading the LPAC, identification, progress monitoring, and reclassification Emergent Bilinguals. To this end, he/she will collaborate with the campus leadership team, network staff, and outside personnel in services related to Emergent Bilinguals. Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage Bilingual/ESL Programs

• Coordinate the multilingual program on assigned campuses to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Partner with academic directors and deans to support teachers' knowledge of Emergent Bilinguals and documentation of correct classroom and testing support(s)
• Monitor Emergent Bilinguals progress toward exiting in the Bilingual/ESL program to meet students' needs as stated in Texas Education Code
• Present scholar outcome data to academic director and ML team leadership at least quarterly
• Participate in an annual internal program audit focused on the compliance needs of English Learners
• Collaborate with Multilingual ESL Coordinators to ensure a streamlined ML program across campuses

• Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy; keep abreast of current and impending legislation and recommend instructional changes as needed
• Monitor and communicate all Emergent Bilingual status updates to parents and guardians of EBs
• Implement identification, reclassification, and progress monitoring procedures (assessment, placement, and evaluation tracking) for all Emergent Bilinguals and immigrant scholars
• Execute and manage the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee throughout the year
• Oversee the maintenance of records and reports for the Bilingual/ESL programs and PEIMS filing (including immigrant, SIFE, and refugees documentation); oversee the PEIMS process as it relates to the department; meet all PEIMS and attendance (6-week verification) deadlines
• Serve as an LPAC representative in special education ARD committee meetings
• Alongside the Multilingual ESL Coordinator support, document, and stay current on Bilingual/ESL Title Ill related legislation, projects, and programs for grant, entitlement, and allocation opportunities relevant to the needs of the district
• Liaise between district administrators and state and federal officials ensuring compliance and accountability issues for programs supervised

• Work with ML team leadership to document all requests for projects and programs requiring Bilingual/ESL and Title Ill
• Assess campus program needs and make recommendations to academic director and operations director on additional resources to support Emergent Bilinguals

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A./ B.S.) from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree in related field is preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements: Minimum three years of successful teaching experience required. Minimum two years of adult leadership preferred. Must enjoy working with English learners and their families.
