Primary Objective

• Responsible for teaching middle and / or high school students subject matter in a way that demonstrates a gift for teaching, a demonstrated competence of the academic discipline, and a genuine love for educating students.

• Reports to Academic Dean

• Gift of teaching
• Demonstrated general competence in academics
• Good classroom presentation skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents if necessary
• Agreement with Doctrinal Statement and School Mission and Vision
• Genuine love for students

• College degree preferred
• Teaching experience preferred, especially in classical and Socratic methodology
• Ability to implement a variety of lesson plans across academic disciplines
• Adequate computer skills

• Teach assigned subjects and implement lesson plans for absent instructors of record
• Flexibility in schedule and general ability to teach across academic disciplines
• Manage classroom, including behavior issues

• Students who have an appreciation for subject matter
