Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to support students in Dallas, TX for the school year.
This full-time opportunity serves Middle School students in an excellent school district on the north side of Dallas, TX. The district offers a highly supportive environment where school psychologists work closely together to ensure manageable workloads and provide assistance whenever additional support is needed.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services.
- Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Conduct or participate in ARD committee meetings to assist with placement and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
- Assist in developing behavior intervention plans and evidence-based support strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and short-term counseling services as appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate educational programming and interventions.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive student outcomes and inclusive learning environments.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to district-wide initiatives supporting student success.
- Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
- Experience providing psychology services in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
