UWorld is seeking charismatic, knowledgeable on-screen talent with academic backgrounds in English, Philosophy, History, Drama, Theatre, or related fields to deliver engaging video presentations for students studying humanities disciplines in higher-ed. Presenters are expected to have strong on-camera presence, clear delivery, and engaging storytelling as they bring scripted content to life through themed sets, costumes, and creative backdrops. Minimum education required:
- Master's degree or higher in English, Philosophy, History, Drama, Theatre, or a closely related field
Minimum experience required:
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level (2+ years preferred)
- Experience with public speaking, acting, stage performance, or educational media (1+ year)
- Experience recording lectures, educational videos, podcasts, or filmed plays is a plus
Required skills:
- Exceptional reading comprehension and analytical reasoning
- Strong voice delivery, articulation, and pacing
- Comfortable and confident speaking on camera
- Engaging, energetic presence with the ability to make reading and analysis fun and accessible
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
- Ability to provide and receive feedback positively
- Focus on meeting project deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
- Ability to make occasional trips to Dallas, TX for finalized recordings
Job responsibilities:
- Reports to the Video Lead in the filming of video lectures
- Serve as onscreen talent for lectures
- Review and internalize scripts and slide presentations
- Work with our production and education teams to ensure high-quality delivery
- Receive and apply constructive feedback on video lectures
- Collaborate with management to ensure project deadlines are met
- Filming takes place in person at our Dallas, TX studio
