• $100,000 annual salary, paid weekly, including health, dental, and vision coverage from day one
• Full-time on-site position at an Alpha campus in Phoenix, AZ;

You've invested years building deep expertise in structured literacy. Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, or a Master's in reading. You catch a student's miscue and instantly know which phonemic weakness to address. You create phonics lessons from scratch without needing a scripted curriculum. That's baseline. It's not what sets you apart.

What sets you apart is that six-year-olds brighten when you enter the classroom. At Alpha, this position is Guide first: a dynamic, engaging presence students genuinely enjoy. Your structured-literacy background opens the door; your capacity to captivate a K-2 group for a 20-minute workshop is what secures the hire. If you wouldn't describe yourself as dynamic and engaging with young learners, this isn't the right fit.

Alpha has redesigned traditional schooling. Students work through academic material independently on AI-adaptive platforms — no lectures, no textbooks, no district pacing calendars. Your position represents the one area where human expertise cannot be replaced. You create small-group reading workshops using live student performance data, and you facilitate motivation sessions that ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app targets using Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, age-appropriate gamification).

Your initial months center on building rapport and credibility. Workshops must be engaging, appropriately leveled, and demonstrably effective. Student satisfaction metrics and "love your Guide" survey results (target 90%+) provide direct measurement. Once you establish that foundation, your responsibilities expand: analyzing AI-generated performance insights to refine upcoming instruction, communicating fluency progress and decoding milestones to families, and influencing how Alpha's K-2 reading framework develops in tandem with adaptive technology.

As Alpha opens additional campuses, your work becomes the template for reading instruction across the organization.

Before an offer is extended, you'll submit a brief video presenting an engaging story suitable for young children, and you'll complete a full-day campus visit working directly with K-2 learners. Low energy with students will disqualify you, regardless of credential strength. That's intentional.

• Conducting and evaluating running records, fluency assessments, and decoding measures to monitor progress and refine subsequent instruction
• Analyzing AI-generated performance insights from Alpha's adaptive learning platforms to differentiate instruction dynamically, not only during preparation
• Serving as the approachable, energetic adult presence your K-2 students anticipate seeing daily

• Implementing a published reading curriculum, scripted lesson sequence, or district pacing calendar; you create lessons directly from student performance data
• Delivering whole-class lectures; all teaching occurs in small, targeted groups while students engage with academic content through adaptive platforms
• Serving as a reading consultant, teacher coach, or district-level specialist; you work in the classroom with children every day
