DescriptionJob Summary The Engagement Specialist will have an assigned caseload of prospective students to call, email, and text, provide information about DTS and our programs, answer questions, and provide general follow up. The Admissions Associate will also participate in various Admissions events and meetings. Position is great for someone in the final few years of their program. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicate with an assigned caseload of prospective students to encourage them to apply and to encourage them to connect further with DTS.
- Answer questions prospective students may have about DTS and our programs.
- Maintain a fast response time for phone calls, emails, and texts.
- Learn about DTS programs, Admissions policies, and the various DTS campuses and locations.
- Interact with prospective students through Seminary Preview Days, online chats, and other special events for campus,
- Carry out additional projects as assigned by the Director, Campus Dean, Lead Admissions Associate, or Admissions Counselors.
- Able to work one evening per week for phone calls to prospective students.
- Exhibits excellent personal relationship and communication/public speaking skills.
- Possesses a high caliber of discernment and able to give careful concern to detail.
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service and the desire to serve prospective students.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively through phone call conversations.
- Flexible personality, self-starter, and results oriented.
- Awareness of the intricacies of theological higher education and the ability to learn DTS degree programs.
- Awareness of the competencies and training required for various vocational and volunteer ministries.
- Computer literate and able to efficiently use our computer systems to record activities and correspond via email.
- Strong character, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Possesses theological awareness.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Recent DTS graduate or current DTS student (preferably a ministry degree).
- Previous ministry, recruiting, marketing, or sales experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and transport materials of up to twenty (20) pounds on occasion.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of time on the phone or video conference sessions.
