Position: Coordinator, Workforce and Continuing Education Campus Operations (Grant Funded)-1

Weekly Work Hours 40 Compensation Range Staff Range N05 Salary Salary Minimum $54,537.00 Annually FLSA United States of America (Exempt) Work Location All positions are considered on-site roles. After six months of employment, some positions may be eligible to apply for a hybrid work arrangement based on job responsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, and Dallas College policy. Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence, even when teaching online courses, in accordance with state law.

Position Type Staff Dallas College is seeking a passionate and community-focused Program Coordinator to support the development, delivery, and growth of our Continuing Education and Workforce Development programs. In this role, you will collaborate with students, instructors, employers, community partners, and college stakeholders to create high-quality non-credit educational opportunities that meet workforce needs and support student success. POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for coordination, identification, development, scheduling, promotion and evaluation of continuing education (non-credit) courses and educational programs that are offered either at the specific campus/location, off-site, and/or at a specific company location.

Various locations available ;
Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to Dallas College campuses and events as needed. This position is funded by external grant resources. Employment is contingent upon the availability of funding and program needs. Continued employment is not guaranteed and may be impacted if funding is reduced, modified, or discontinued.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience and knowledge in program development, continuing education and workforce development.
  • Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in program development, evaluation, and curriculum.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • Able to work with internal and external stakeholders in the planning of existing and new Continuing Education and non-credit classes and programs.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work closely with professional and government organizations’ laws and policies as they pertain to the educational programs being offered.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions confidently and wisely, after adequately considering various existing courses of actions.
  • Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others.
  • Skilled in research and evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to support interaction between Dallas College, other organizations and community groups.
  • Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment.
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Occasionally you may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree and three (3) years of work-related experience and knowledge in workforce development in a higher education workforce environment or five (5) years of work-related experience and knowledge in workforce development in a higher education workforce environment.
  • Official transcripts will be required.
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
