Job DescriptionJob Requirements
The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching, with at least two years' teaching experience (preferred). Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, as well as perform all basic administrative duties (ex. maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing).
Education/ExperienceRequirements
An undergraduate degree in teaching content area or a related field from an accredited university. A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned is preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communications skills and solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.
General DutiesThe mission of the Catholic school is to Teach as Jesus did, thereby mandating teachers in our schools to be reflections of Christ's love and concern. The Classroom Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the assistant principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
