About Cholla Energy

Cholla Energy is a business unit of Cholla Inc. that focuses on bitcoin mining "load centers," grid infrastructure, and land banking for heavy commercial users of load. We design, develop, and operate the physical infrastructure that enables Cholla and our partners' generation and flexible loads to function as resources for the Texas ERCOT grid. Since 2021, we have acquired 10,000+ acres of land surrounding nine of the largest 138kV and 345kV transmission switching stations in Texas's ERCOT Load Zone West.

This long-term investment serves as a development runway for Cholla load centers, energy generation & BESS developers, and other companies with large power needs seeking access to the abundant low-cost energy, skilled workforce, and entrepreneurial culture of West Texas. With a focus on long-term value creation, we invest our own capital to develop the regulatory certainty and high-voltage infrastructure required to scale Cholla's and our partners' operations safely, sustainably, and reliably.

Cholla Energy Mission

Cholla Energy specializes in designing, developing, and operating bitcoin mining "load centers" and high voltage infrastructure in ERCOT Load Zone West. Our focus is on mutual benefit and shared infrastructure to improve project economics for our partners while also providing flexible loads as a resource to benefit the Texas ERCOT power grid. By partnering with energy management companies, generation and BESS developers, hyperscale data centers, and hydrogen companies, we aim to unlock the energy potential of West Texas, increasing the resilience, reliability, and peak capacity of the Texas power grid.
