Entry Level Wind Technician I – with a commitment to excellence, strong desire to succeed and learn new skills utilizing established procedures, with the highest regard for health, safety, and environmental compliance. If you enjoy cleaning, organizing, and minor service or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities, this position may be for you. This position is 100% travel.
CoreResponsibilities
- Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.)
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements.
- Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer‑based service reporting tools and procedures.
- Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills.
- Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision.
- Graduated from Accredited Trade School or relevant mechanical or electrical experience.
- Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle.
- Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
- Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely perform job duties, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and customers. Interpreter services are not available for this position.
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
