Schneider’s Field Service Representatives (FSR) play an impactful role within the organization – collaborating with customers, team members, and third‑party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on both Company and third‑party manufactured equipment in a variety of dynamic environments. This Lead Field Service Representative position will be the most senior FSR and assist the Territory Manager with hiring, customer service, and other leadership responsibilities.

There are no direct reports in this role.

Schneider Electric provides service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily professional use.

This opportunity is a home‑based flexible work schedule with a 40‑hour guarantee (+ overtime).

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and lead service representatives, encouraging development and promoting company values.
  • Interface Schneider Electric products with Digital Services Offerings and customer networks/building monitoring systems.
  • Apply advanced electrical/mechanical theory, fundamentals, and troubleshooting skills, including reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operation manuals.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
  • Master customer relations and interaction skills, consistently creating positive experiences and managing difficult situations.
  • Promote cross‑business unit sales leads and support sales initiatives introduced by Sales Teams and the Territory Manager.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form, resolving issues professionally both internally (SE) and externally (customer).
  • Manage self‑management to work with no daily supervision and encourage these skills in others.
  • Support team members during challenges, traveling outside the territory as needed.
  • Operate advanced diagnostic/test equipment and analyze acquired data.
  • Collaborate across departmental boundaries to promote solutions and drive field quality/process improvements.
  • Use SE Customer Relationship Management tools (e.g., BFS/Clearview) and other digital tools/programs.
  • Oversee first‑level escalations, providing feedback to the Territory Manager.
  • Assist the Territory Manager and local Safety Manager with safety audits on peers.
  • Pursue career goals that include advancement into management positions within Schneider Electric.
  • Take on a leadership role (e.g., champion or focus group) to support territorial and organizational needs.
  • Plan and lead regular team meetings to develop teamwork and improve communication.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.
On some days, you may even
  • Travel throughout the region or countrywide (approximately 50 days of overnight travel).
  • Assist the Field Project Manager with larger system startups.
  • Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues as required.
This may be the next step in your career journey if you have
  • Experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Schneider Electric power distribution products.
  • An associate degree, vocational education, or similar experience in electronics, electrical theory, or a related discipline (or military training).
  • Thorough understanding of AC and DC power principles and supply circuit components.
  • 5+ years of field service repair and customer service with Schneider Electric UPS or Data Center Cooling.
  • 5+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
  • Safe driving and vehicle operation skills.
  • Proficiency with test and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and operation manuals.
  • Strong written skills for service reports, correspondence, and procedures, and the ability to present information and answer customer questions.
  • Interest in obtaining OSHA 30 Construction Certification and Train the Trainer Certification.
  • Capacity to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
