Job Description

Entry level position responsible for supporting the drilling team in a combined effort for a safe and efficient drilling program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze data of current and historical drilling operations for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist Drilling Engineer with industry research as well as potential acquisitions.
  • Work closely between various departments to streamline the planning and permitting processes.
  • Maintain well files and associated drilling documents in an organized and thoughtful manner.
  • Work closely with IT and Engineers to help support operations with necessary hardware and software.
  • Attend high level planning meetings and help maintain a clean and detailed rig schedule for company wide distribution.
  • Assist Drilling Engineer in the well design process
  • Work closely with Engineers and HSE to maintain and review all MSAs, contracts, insurance, and other pertinent safety documents.
  • Combine and file various quarterly and yearly reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum educational requirement is 2 years of college with preference given to a full degree.
  • Preference given to work experience in the oil and gas industry, especially related to drilling or associated regulatory agencies.
  • Must have good computer skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Preference given to programs such as Wellview, SQL reporting, Spotfire, Enverus, or Drilling Info.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, and eager to learn more about the drilling phase.
