Civil Engineer/Construction Manager – Pavement Management of commercial properties across the U.S.
Ideal Candidate- Background in civil engineering or pavement management with 3‑5 years of experience on civil engineering projects or pavement management programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, engineering technology, or construction management (preferred).
- Experienced working with PAVERTM software or other pavement management tools.
- Experienced performing Pavement Condition Index (PCI) surveys using ASTM D6433.
- Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experienced with ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with various building materials, methods, and systems for civil and pavement projects.
- Familiarity with programs such as MS Project, Procore, and Smartsheet (plus).
- Excellent communication and professional writing skills and the ability to multi‑task between several projects and priorities.
- Ability to travel independently across the U.S.
- Strong technical knowledge to confidently address questions in the field.
- Experience in a team environment with personnel from multiple offices and disciplines.
- Experience with submittals and Request for Information (RFI) management.
- Organized and familiar with construction‑management programs for tracking submittals and RFIs.
- Ability to read construction documents for various disciplines and verify built conditions meet the requirements outlined in the plans.
- Collaborative and professional when working with owners, contractors, vendors, and the internal team of engineers and designers.
- Experience with project scheduling and estimating.
- Familiar with various project‑delivery methods and bidding processes.
- Knowledge of the overall construction process from pre‑construction through close‑out for civil and/or pavement projects.
- On‑site observations and progress reports.
- Perform PCI surveys and update pavement‑management software.
- Assist in developing pavement models and generating forecast deliverables.
- Plan and manage travel budget for site visits.
- Participate in and may lead weekly site meetings and complete meeting minutes.
- Create and update the project budget.
- Attend internal meetings with the project manager to provide updates on assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with the in‑house pavement‑management team and seek ways to improve processes using applicable programs and procedures.
