Electrical Operations Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing (Greenfield Facility)

We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Operations Engineer for one of our clients based in Fort Worth, Texas. Our client is a U.S.
-based industrial manufacturer operating at the forefront of clean energy and advanced materials, supporting electrification and domestic supply-chain resilience through a newly built, high-tech greenfield manufacturing facility. This role is operations-focused, supporting plant electrical systems post-commissioning, with responsibility for operational reliability, cost optimization, safety, and continuous improvement across electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an on-site electrical subject matter expert supporting plant infrastructure, utilities, and production-critical systems.
- Own and execute electrical OPEX-driven projects focused on cost reduction, reliability improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and capital project teams to ensure safe and reliable system performance.
- Plan and approve work procedures for electrical troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform routine inspections and hands-on troubleshooting to minimize downtime and improve equipment availability.
- Lead or participate in root-cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes.
- Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Maintain documentation, performance metrics, and reporting related to downtime, KPIs, and maintenance activities.
- Deliver training and technical guidance to plant engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting electrical systems in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or process-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, control systems, and plant-level infrastructure.
- Experience supporting operational reliability, maintenance, or OPEX-focused initiatives.
- Familiarity with transformers, switch gear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, backup generators, and power distribution equipment.
- Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, OSHA, NRTL, UL, and applicable electrical standards.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical and electrical analysis tools (e.g., SKM preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
