About the RoleThe Dallas facility is committed to operational excellence, safety, and sustainability. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead and support capital projects that drive reliability, compliance, and growth across manufacturing operations.
This position plays a critical leadership role in aligning capital investments with business strategy, optimizing project delivery, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement across engineering, operations, procurement, and EHS teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle project management from scope development through commissioning, ensuring alignment with business objectives, safety standards, and financial targets.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; proactively manage risks, changes, and resource constraints.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including engineering, procurement, construction, and third-party contractors.
- Provide technical direction to junior engineers and plant operations and maintenance teams.
- Support plant operations with engineering solutions for reliability, production improvements, and maintenance planning.
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Care 14001, ISO 14001, ASTM, ASME, and other applicable standards.
- Conduct engineering studies and develop capital cost estimates to support project justification and long-term planning.
- Integrate safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements into all project phases.
- Manage multiple projects and direct contractors and engineering services remotely as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution, cost control, and capital efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in capital project governance and engineering systems.
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of project engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or processing plant environments preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing capital projects with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Capital project management for process plants
- Construction and plant engineering activities
- Equipment and piping design and installation
- Material handling and pneumatic systems
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks (Responsible Care, ISO 14001, ASTM, ASME).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training and experience.
- Experience with reliability-centered maintenance and process safety management.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
