Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems
, including air distribution, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems - Assist with mechanical calculations such as heating/cooling loads, energy modeling, and equipment sizing
- Prepare construction documents including plans, schedules, and specifications under PE supervision
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and structural teams
- Support construction administration efforts including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, local codes)
- Participate in client meetings and internal project coordination
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or in progress
- 3–5 years of experience in MEP mechanical design
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD
- Familiarity with HVAC load calculation and analysis software (Trace 3D, HAP, Energy Plus, or similar)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
