Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to travel and lead complex installations, perform expert-level diagnostics and repairs, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to our healthcare partners.
This position is based in Dallas, TX and requires significant time in the field supporting customer sites, with travel expectations subject to business needs. Initial training is expected to take place at Omega Medical Imaging headquarters in Sanford, FL. There will also be anticipated quarterly travel to headquarters for training on legacy and future products and participation in process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Staying flexible to travel to customer sites globally, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned by the service coordinator.
- Leading installation, configuration, and validation of mobile C-arm, fluoroscopy systems.
- Performing advanced troubleshooting and repairs for hardware/software issues.
- Conducting preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Training clinical staff in equipment operation and best practices.
- Maintaining detailed documentation and service records.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to service documentation without direct people-management responsibility.
- Representing Omega Medical Imaging professionally onsite with customers through clear communication, adherence to company policies, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in servicing interventional X-ray or fluoroscopy systems.
- Strong diagnostic skills in electromechanical and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with DICOM, PACS, and hospital IT environments.
- Demonstrated skills in wire crimping, soldering, basic electronics, voltage measurement, and troubleshooting. Reading and translating drawings & schematics.
- Professional demeanor and communication skills, along with an ability to resolve problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a passport (or willingness to obtain one).
- Prior OEM certifications from GE, Canon, Siemens, or Shimadzu are a plus.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
