What You Will Do

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to blend engineering leadership with business development.

Business Development & Client Management
  • Prepare proposals, SOQs, and technical materials.
  • Partner with marketing and sector leaders to support local market initiatives.
  • Secure new work from existing clients and help expand the firm's Dallas client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, and owners.
  • Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Structural Engineering & Project Leadership
  • Serve as project engineer/manager on a variety of structural projects.
  • Oversee construction documents, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate across disciplines to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
  • Perform design calculations, review BIM/AutoCAD deliverables, and oversee submittals.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for local projects.
What We're Looking For Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE a plus.
  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience with a strong project delivery record.
  • 3+ years of business development or client-facing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Revit preferred.
  • Experience with RAM, RISA, Ener Calc, Adapt, ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar tools.
  • Established network within the Dallas A/E/C community is highly valued.

  • Self-starter with strong leadership instincts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
