Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a Manufacturing Design Specialist located in the DFW metro. Our client is a well-established advanced manufacturing organization operating at the forefront of critical materials and industrial innovation, currently entering an exciting phase of greenfield facility development and expansion.

This is a hands-on, highly technical role focused on equipment design, manufacturing drafting, and process integration. The ideal candidate enjoys working in an environment that combines CAD design, fabrication, automation, and plant commissioning to ensure systems operate efficiently from concept through full production.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a member of the Physical Engineering Design team supporting the development of a new advanced manufacturing facility
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and EHS teams to design and integrate equipment within overall facility process flow
  • Develop detailed CAD models, technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to support fabrication, procurement, and compliance
  • Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and automation systems to ensure operational performance
  • Participate in design reviews, supplier evaluations, testing, and internal/external compliance audits to relevant industrial standards

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, CAD/Drafting, Mechatronics, or a related field. They will have experience supporting equipment design and automation within a manufacturing environment, along with strong spatial reasoning, knowledge of fits and tolerances, and the ability to read and create technical drawings. Hands-on experience with machining, assembly, or fabrication, strong communication skills, process safety awareness, and an entrepreneurial mindset are highly valued.

This is a high-impact position within a growing organization offering excellent career development and direct involvement in the design and launch of a greenfield facility. It’s an outstanding opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, technically complex environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects from design through commissioning.
