Structural Project Engineer/Project Manager – Austin, TX
A well-established, multi-office engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join its team in Austin. The firm works on a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and mission‑critical projects, providing engineers the opportunity to be involved in complex and technically challenging work within a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
The Project Engineer will be involved in the design and analysis of building structures, preparation of calculations and construction documents, and coordination with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. This role also includes supporting project delivery, assisting in managing design team members, and participating in client interactions and meetings.
The position offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, including design development, documentation, and construction‑phase services such as responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and occasional site observations.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- PE license required
- Several years of experience in structural design for building projects
- Experience with common structural materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Familiarity with industry‑standard analysis and BIM/design software
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
