Position: Project Leader - Electrification (Texas Region)

The HT Group has partnered with a dynamic and growing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company specializing in providing innovative electrification solutions to the Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream oil and gas services industry, Industrial, and data center/crypto mining industries. Job Summary

The Project Leader (Sr. Director or VP-level) is a key leadership role responsible for the successful execution of all field-based electrification projects across their clients. This role will be an individual contributor; the individual will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget and schedule. The VP of Field Services will be a hands-on leader, contributing directly to project execution while also providing strategic direction.

This will support both the Dallas and Houston areas so it will require at least 50% road travel between both markets.

Responsibilities
  • Project Execution & Management:
    • Oversee and manage the execution of all field-based electrification projects, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
    • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to all applicable codes and standards.
    • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
    • Directly participate in field activities as needed.
    • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel.
    • Manage performance and provide feedback to team members.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project execution.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for client issues related to field services.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for additional business with existing clients.
    • Ensure proper communication of project updates.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Champion a strong safety culture throughout all field operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices (NEC, OSHA, etc).
    • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Financial & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage field services budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
    • Monitor and control project costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
    • Manage resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
    • Provide accurate reporting of project costs, and resource usage.
  • Electrification Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and technologies relevant to the oil and gas industry.
    • Apply expertise in areas such as power generation, distribution, automation, and control systems.
    • Stay up to date on new electrical technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in field services management within the EPC industry, with a focus on electrical projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing electrical projects in the Upstream, Midstream, or Downstream oil and gas sectors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, particularly in a small company environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to travel extensively to project sites.
  • Hands on experience with electrical construction, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with renewable energy integration in oil and gas applications.
  • Experience with automation and control systems.
