Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our growing HVAC manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HVAC systems, with a focus on system testing, validation, and performance optimization.
This is a key position supporting the full commissioning lifecycle of HVAC systems, particularly in data center and mission-critical environments
. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our systems are installed and operating according to design specifications and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform commissioning activities for HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, and control systems.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists in accordance with industry standards.
- Validate system performance through functional testing and analysis.
- Collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and design engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
- Produce detailed commissioning documentation, including reports, punch lists, and system readiness assessments.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of design and installation processes.
- Support system handover by participating in client meetings and training sessions.
- Conduct site inspections and report deficiencies or deviations from design.
- Travel to project sites as needed (up to 80%).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC system commissioning or a related role (mechanical engineering, controls, or testing).
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, BMS, and energy systems.
- Familiarity with commissioning standards.
- Experience working in or commissioning Critical Data Center environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for reporting and client interaction.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; willing to travel frequently.
