A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an Estimator to support the pursuit and delivery of major infrastructure projects across North Texas. Types of Projects:
This role supports estimating for a variety of heavy civil projects, including roadway and highway construction, water and wastewater infrastructure, deep excavation and trenching, pump stations and treatment plant structures, stormwater and drainage improvements, structural concrete for municipal infrastructure, and large scale earthwork and site development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze bid documents to fully understand project scope and requirements
- Prepare and submit competitive, accurate bid proposals
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, material, and equipment takeoffs
- Evaluate market conditions, competition, and pricing strategies
- Maintain and utilize historical cost and production data
- Participate in bid reviews with senior estimating leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry
- Minimum 1 year of estimating experience
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, and Agtek
- Familiarity with scheduling platforms such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
