Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and dynamic Licensed MEP Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Dallas, TX. Key Responsibilities- Design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for a variety of projects, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Perform load calculations, system sizing, and energy modeling to ensure systems meet project specifications and local building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mechanical systems during the construction phase.
- Participate in client meetings, presenting technical information clearly and effectively.
- Oversee the preparation and review of mechanical design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Utilize Revit to create detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and models for integration into project workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices to ensure high-quality work.
- A licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience (all levels encouraged to apply).
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) is required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and energy modeling.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
