CAD Designer - Land Development

Job Description

Southland Consulting Engineers has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join the land development team in our Dallas-based office!

• Modeling:
  Create and edit alignments, profiles, and pipe networks; experience modeling corridors and surfaces using assemblies and feature lines is a plus
• Plan Production:
  Produce complete, city-approved plan sets for commercial, industrial, data center, and residential land development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and other applications, following company standards
• Quality and Coordination:
  Coordinate and work with Project Managers and Engineers, perform self-check/QC, track comments, and incorporate redlines to meet regulatory requirements and client expectations
• Multitasking:
  Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and exercise time management skills to balance multiple projects and priorities

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Autodesk and/or Bentley products
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to take ownership of their work and contribute to the overall success of the business
