DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking aSenior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The Fire Protection Engineer will be a ‘Doer/Seller’ in the Texas region as a client manager. They will be responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction, and they will be supported by the full MBI Fire Protection Engineering team.

Projects and clients include all aspects of fire protection engineering design from ‘cradle to grave’. This includes the responsibilities of proposal preparation, complete system design, site evaluations, and testing and commissioning of systems. Typical projects and types of systems include fire sprinklers, fire pumps, high expansion foam, clean agent systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems. Industries include Department of Defense (DoD), Data Centers, Industrial and Manufacturing, and commercial clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Business development and client management
• Be responsible for proposal preparation, project budgets and project work schedules
• Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and fire pump design
• Analyze life safety requirements for buildings, including building code compliance, occupant loadcalculations and egress analysis
