OverviewA leading engineering team is seeking a full time Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for both new construction and renovation projects, with a strong emphasis on mission‑critical facilities
.
This role involves close coordination with multiple design disciplines and the opportunity to act as the electrical lead on assigned projects. The position requires someone who can guide project quality, review technical work, and help manage, schedule and budget expectations while contributing to high‑performance, client‑focused designs.
Primary Responsibilities- Partner with clients to understand project objectives, performance requirements, and constraints.
- Develop and present design options, clearly outlining risks and benefits to support informed decision‑making.
- Lead multi‑disciplinary teams in preparing design documentation, including concept development, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, and energy modelling.
- Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and other disciplines to ensure code‑compliant, integrated, and practical solutions.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to manage expectations throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and vendors to keep projects aligned with scope and schedule.
- Represent the owner during construction activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site observations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to early‑career engineers and designers.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the MEP industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
, or active pursuit toward licensure.
- Proficiency with Revit
