The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Job Summary
Collaborate with and learn from experienced Employees in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems line of business. Our Summer Internship Program offers a full-time, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a culture defined by friendliness and teamwork t sets us apart? Job Responsibilities
* Perform entry-level professional administrative staff duties in support of functional areas, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility
* Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction
* Type and word-process draft documents and electronic information
* Prepare routine reports with guidance
* Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications
* Assist in arranging meetings, conferences, and project team activities
* Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials
* Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
* Must be actively enrolled in a 4-years undergraduate Engineering degree in EE, CS, or SWE.
* Have completed at least 2 years of college and be at least a Junior or Senior at time of application with a 3.0 GPA or better.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity.
* Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
