Day in the Life

As a Project Engineer, you’ll support capital and maintenance projects across SWD processing plants, pipelines, measurement facilities, and related infrastructure. This field‑ and office‑based role combines engineering design, project coordination, and hands‑on field support, with travel as needed. You’ll play an important role in delivering projects safely, compliantly, and on schedule while supporting ongoing operations.

Typical Day Activities
  • Reviewing project schedules, cost forecasts, and design deliverables
  • Developing scopes, specifications, routing, and facility layouts with cross‑functional teams
  • Reviewing drawings and Bills of Material for accuracy and compliance
  • Participating in HAZOPs and safety reviews
  • Supporting construction activities in the field and troubleshooting operational issues
  • Evaluating contractor bids, supporting AFEs, and managing costs
  • Collaborating with Operations, Finance, Commercial, and Procurement teams
  • Documenting progress, updating drawings, and supporting hydraulics modeling
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, pipeline and facilities design, construction, and operations
