Design Engineering Manager

Relate Search has partnered with a growing industrial products manufacturer to identify a Design Engineering Manager to support ongoing product innovation, engineering execution, and operational growth initiatives. This leadership role will oversee engineering design activities, product development efforts, and cross‑functional project coordination to ensure products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise along with a hands‑on leadership style and experience managing engineering teams within industrial or manufactured products environments.

• Lead product design and engineering activities from concept development through testing, validation, and production release
• Manage and mentor engineering staff while promoting technical development, accountability, and project execution
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, operations, and commercial teams to ensure designs are cost‑effective, scalable, and production‑ready
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product performance, standardization, efficiency, and design optimization
• Oversee engineering documentation, CAD standards, BOM accuracy, and compliance with applicable industry and regulatory requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required
• Seven or more years of engineering experience within industrial products or manufacturing environments, including leadership responsibility
• Strong background in product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering project management
• Proficiency with CAD platforms and engineering documentation systems
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional leadership skills
