Senior Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a robust background in construction management to lead and oversee various projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the pre-construction, pre-planning, and construction project scheduling process.

+ Review and approve project budgets, including labor, material, and subcontractors, to determine resource allocation.

+ Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to reach beneficial agreements.

+ Oversee project finances, focusing on profitability and cash flow.

+ Ensure the overall profitability of projects, with attention to cost relative to initial job bids.

+ Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design conflicts and determine project specifications.

+ Lead strategic planning and manage project submittals, requests for information, and change orders.

+ Implement monthly cost reports and provide accurate cost projections.

+ Research and propose options on construction means, methods, and timelines.

+ Recognize and implement change orders as necessary.

+ Approve payment supplier and subcontractor invoices.

+ Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues.

+ Maintain and develop client relationships and identify upcoming work opportunities.

+ Directly manage subcontractors and indirectly oversee subcontractor field personnel and internal support services.

+ Train estimating staff on technical aspects of project management.

+ Conduct SWOT analysis for projects and future endeavors.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 10+ years of related experience and/or training.

+ 10 years of experience in the construction field leading projects up to $15 million in scope.

+ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, and Word.

+

Experience with Auto Bid, P6 Scheduler, and Bluebeam is preferred.

+ Mechanical knowledge and project management expertise.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in construction, mechanical, MEP, and commercial construction.

+ Proficiency in project management, RFI, change orders, estimation, project engineering, and AutoCAD.

+

Experience with Procore and construction documents.

+ Ability to prepare a SWOT analysis.

+ Professional solicitation of vendors and suppliers during procurement.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Haskell, Texas. Employees will receive a per diem of $3,500 per month to assist with living expenses. The role involves working in a fast-paced construction office environment and requires the ability to organize and manage documents related to work orders and personnel. The company is growing rapidly in Texas, with numerous Data Center projects currently underway.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $85.00/hr.
