Mechanical Designer​/Engineer

Be our next Mechanical Designer/Engineer for Mission Critical and Data Center building projects. This position is based in our Dallas, TX office.

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
• Prepare calculations for loads
• Thorough knowledge of codes
• Select and schedule equipment
• Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP/FP, Arch, Struct, etc.)
• Understand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation
• Work with PC, PM, to meet scheduled project milestones of multiple projects
• Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level of meeting exp’s design and quality levels
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
• Write studies and reports for systems on projects
• Understand and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems
• Air side systems – CV, VAV, coil selection, fan selection
• Hydronic systems – hot, chilled water systems and condenser water systems
• Thorough understanding psychrometrics and applying it to projects

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• EIT preferred, working towards PE
• 1+ years of experience
• Strong leadership and good communication capabilities
• Preferred experience includes data center, mission critical and/or telecom industry
• Building design experience is a must
