Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Engineer (Mid-Senior) — Dallas, Texas. This role is onsite in Far North Dallas/Plano area. Regular full-time, direct-hire.

• Lead the electrical engineering domain including planning and execution strategies for complex electrical projects.
• Elicit electrical requirements from project stakeholders, analyze and define project scope, timelines, resources, equipment, and budget.
• Coordinate with engineers, run regular meetings, monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Act as liaison between the electrical engineering team and stakeholders, communicating progress and answering questions.
• Apply project methodologies to improve processes, procedures, and productivity.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (ME preferred; EE also acceptable).
• 4-5+ years of experience in electrical engineering projects.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Ability to read equipment wiring schematics and create input/output lists; knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, and IEC codes and standards.
• Willingness to bend knees to troubleshoot equipment on the floor using diagnostic equipment, volt/amp meters, and hand tools.
• 10% travel.

• AutoCAD Electrical design and project leadership; mentoring.
• Knowledge of electrical design software, electrical engineering analysis, and industry standards (UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, IEC).
• Experience with equipment or large-scale automation projects using PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE), motor controllers, conveyors, computer vision, UPC image scans, pick-and-place, packaging, distribution centers, material handling, warehouse automation, and robotics.

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $112,000 per year USD.
