Overview

The Field Service Lead Engineer will work on a variety of challenging technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing RF/microwave and electro‑mechanical equipment, components, and systems. This position will primarily involve installing and testing equipment at overseas locations and will require up to 75% travel for extended stays.

Responsibilities
  • Perform difficult electronic, mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, microwave products, electro‑mechanical components, devices and systems.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists, written or verbal instructions.
  • Conduct testing of RF and digital systems.
  • Oversee a small team to install and test equipment at remote locations.
  • Operate related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to construct, test, process, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specific products or equipment.
  • Recommend changes or modifications to improve the operation or quality of electronic or mechanical products and equipment.
  • Determine methods, operations and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.

  • Report any quality problems or defects to manager or senior management for corrective action to avoid recurrence.
  • Perform duties as modified or assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Active DoD issued Secret Security Clearance.
  • At least 7 years of management experience.
  • In‑depth understanding of instruments and equipment: capacitors, test procedures, lead‑free soldering, spectrum analyzers.
  • Basic computer skills:
    Microsoft Windows, loading software, network systems, Linux, PLs.
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Associate's degree in related technology or equivalent technical training.
Desired Skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency.
Compensation

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job‑related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
